A speeding train killed 15 people at an unguarded railway crossing in the western Indian state of Gujarat.
The victims, including two children and two women, were mostly labourers and their families who were crossing the tracks and failed to spot the train.
Dozens die every year at the estimated 18,000 unguarded railway crossings in India, which has one of the world's biggest rail networks.
To reduce accidents, thousands of railway porters are being hired to guard crossings.
