Garda Commissioner Pat Byrne and RUC Chief Constable Sir Ronnie Flanagan met at Killeen on the Border yesterday for the handing over of the Special Olympics Torch. Officers from the two forces will carry the torch across the 32 counties to raise over £200,000 to help send athletes to the 1999 World Summer Games in North Carolina, starting on June 24th.
