Jerusalem - Israeli secret agents smuggled an antique Torah scroll out of Iraq in a car tyre, a newspaper reported yesterday.
The Israeli newspaper Maariv said that the scroll, which is about 70 years old, was rescued from a synagogue torched by arsonists two years ago and whisked out of Iraq by intelligence services with the participation of Israel's ministry of religion.
