An Israeli aircraft has fired missiles at a Palestinian car in the Gaza Strip, killing all three occupants thought to be members of Hamas.
Witnesses at the scene said at least two missiles hit the vehicle on a road south of Gaza City, near the Jewish settlement of Netzarim.
Palestinian security sources said all three men in the car were members of Hamas. Bystanders used their bare hands to toss dirt and sand on the car as it was engulfed in flames.
Medics said they pulled three bodies from the wreckage.
People were forced back as burning oil ignited smaller explosions. The Israeli army had no immediate comment.
Since the start of a Palestinian uprising in September 2000, Israel has assassinated scores of Palestinians in attacks that it claims are in self-defence. but Palestinians condemn as extra-judicial killings.
Today's attack comes after three Palestinians were killed in an Israeli missile strike in the Gaza Strip on Saturday.
