Three people have been killed on Irish roads in separate overnight crashes.

A man (29) died after his car hit a ditch in Cork city. The incident happened on the Carrigrohane Road at 2.55 a.m.

A man also died when his car collided with a lorry close to the Forkhill roundabout in Newry. A section of the main Dublin-Belfast road has been closed, and diversions have been set up.

Another man was killed when two vehicles collided on Co Wexford. The crash happened near Waddingtown at 11 p.m. last night. The victim (29) was from Wexford.
