Two men in their twenties were killed in a crash in Co Cork overnight.
They have been named by gardai as Ross Shine and Kieron Walsh. Both are aged 21 and are from Mallow, Co Cork.
Their car hit a ditch near Kippagh South, outside Kanturk at about 1.20 a.m.
The dead men have not been named. A third man was brought to hospital, where his condition is critical.
Elsewhere, in Co Mayo, a 77-year-old man was killed when his car crashed at Tully, near Louisburgh. The crash happened at about 9 p.m. last night, and there were no other vehicles involved.
