Three killed in early morning crashes

Gardaí at Longford are investigating a crash between a car and a lorry that left a 39-year-old man dead.

Gardaí at Longford are investigating a crash between a car and a lorry that left a 39-year-old man dead.

The car the man was driving was in collision with the truck at Brickeens, Kenagh, Longford at 3.20 a.m. this morning. His body was taken to St Joseph's Hospital in Longford.

Meanwhile, a 37-year-old truck driver died after his vehicle collided with another lorry at The Derries, Ballybrittas, Co Laois at around 4.55 a.m. The second driver's condition is unknown.

Also, gardaí at Clondalkin are investigating a crash which occurred on the Rathcoole to Newcastle road in Dublin this morning.
