Three people were killed in weekend road accidents

Three people were killed in weekend road accidents. One man died and five people were injured in a two car collision at the junction to the Limerick Inn hotel on the main Limerick to Shannon road yesterday.

A 15 year old Co Clare girl, Lisa Ryan, from Ardnacrusha, died on Saturday after a two car collision. The accident took place at Barry's Cross after the girl and her friends had alighted from a bus near their home. One of the cars apparently went out of control and struck the two pedestrians. The second girl is comfortable.

A 26 year old man died instantly when his car was in collision with a another car at Cloughan, on the main Armagh Portadown road on Saturday night.
