Two people have been seriously injured in a road collision on the N4 Dublin-Sligo road.
The crash, between Edgesworthstown and Rathowen, Co Longford, involved two cars and a lorry.
The two victims and a third person, less seriously hurt, were taken to Mullingar General Hospital, according to gardaí. A number of ambulances are attending the scene.
There will be considerable disruption to traffic on the road this evening, gardaí advised.
