Three men were arrested today after a gun attack on a house in Northern Ireland.

Three men were arrested today after a gun attack on a house in Northern Ireland.

A shotgun blast was fired through the front living room window of a house on the Ballykeel estate in Ballymena, Co Antrim, at around 2.15am, police said.

A woman and her eight-year-old daughter were asleep upstairs and escaped injury. Three men - two in their 20s and one in his 30s - were later arrested.

A PSNI spokesman said they were trying to establish a motive and appealed for anyone who witnessed the gun attack or knew anything about it to contact them.
