THREE people were killed in separate road accidents over the weekend. A head-on collision between a car and a combine harvester at Modeligo, Co Waterford, on Saturday claimed the life of Mr Paul Hickey (27), Kilbrien, Dungarvan. He was driving the car.Also on Saturday, a man in his 50s died after his articulated truck overturned near New Ross, Co Wexford. Mr Joseph Lawlor, of Pallace East, New Ross, was driving along the New Ross to Wexford road when the accident happened. No other vehicle was involved.A man involved in a hit-andrun accident near Leixlip early yesterday, has died in the James Connolly Memorial Hospital, Blanchardstown. According to gardai, who appealed for witnesses, he appeared to have been hit as he crossed the road near the Hitching Post public house at Collinstown.
