Three admit Limerick manslaughter

Three Limerick men pleaded guilty today to the manslaughter of an 18-year-old man.

Three Limerick men pleaded guilty today to the manslaughter of an 18-year-old man.

Joseph Keane of Greenhills Road Garryowen, Limerick; Shane Kelly, of Oliver Plunkett Street, St Mary's Park; and Richard Treacy, of Munchins Street, St Mary's Park, had pleaded not guilty to the murder of Darren Coughlan.

All three were aged 18 at the time of the killing.

They were remanded in custody for sentencing on July 30th by Mr Justice Paul Carney at the Central Criminal Court.

Mr Coughlan, from Pineview Gardens, Moyross in Limerick, died in hospital after he was attacked at Old Cratloe Road on November 4th, 2005.
