Thebiz.comsaid it is continuing to look at acquisition opportunities on both sides of its business, as it posted a narrowing in interim losses.

The company said it is conscious the review of the gaming industry, which is now well under way following the publication of the Budd report, may present additional opportunities.

Referring to its Lottery king operation, it said it is currently trading ahead of budget and turnover was 38 per cent higher than in the corresponding period last year.

The comments came as it posted a pre-tax loss for the six months ended 31st October, 2001, of £50,000 sterling against loss £925,000, on sales of £850,000 against £622,000.
