In contrast to the other two route the Lucan QBC has almost no critics. Travelling for much of its route on a three lane dual carriageway, the QBC causes only minimal disruption to other road users at the M50 junction - a point where many blame the junction rather than the bus.
In common with the other QBCs, the introduction of the route has meant that buses now travel 50 per cent faster than cars into the city. The journey time for the bus is down from 50 minutes to 40 minutes and passenger numbers are rising at a rate of 15 per cent per year.
