Thatcher snubs her alma mater

London - In what is being deemed a major snub to her alma mater, Oxford University, the former British prime minister, Mrs Margaret Thatcher, is raising funds for its arch-rival, Cambridge. Mrs Thatcher's US fund-raising drive, which has already netted hundreds of thousands of pounds for the university, has delighted staff at Cambridge, who are bestowing a rare benefactor's honour on the former prime minister.
