Two 13-year-old boys will appear in court in the North today charged with stealing from an elderly woman's home.

Two 13-year-old boys will appear in court in the North today charged with stealing from an elderly woman's home.

A spokesman for the Police Service of Northern Ireland said the teenagers have been charged with theft and burglary.

They allegedly stole a purse from the older woman during what police called a "distraction burglary" at her home in Lisburn yesterday.

The teenagers will appear before Craigavon Magistrates' Court.

Two males in their late teens were also arrested but have been released pending further inquiries, the PSNI spokesman said.
