Teachers at two inner-city Dublin schools will go on strike today in protest at staffing and funding shortages in primary schools.
Two more schools in Achill Island, Co Mayo, and Ballyhaise, Co Cavan, will stage similar one-day strikes tomorrow and Thursday. Five more schools are balloting on one-day strikes next month.
Today's strikes will be at Plas Mhuire Boys National School and the Central Model Senior NS.
