Los Angeles - The Sultan of Brunei cannot be sued by a former Miss USA beauty queen who claims she was held captive in his palace for use as a sex slave, a federal judge ruled yesterday. The judge found Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah's status as a head of state entitled him to "sovereign immunity" from the $90 million lawsuit by Ms Shannon LaRhea Marketic (27).
