New York - The first lawsuit over last week's Swissair crash that killed 229 people was filed by boxer Jake La Motta yesterday in Brooklyn, lawyers said. Joseph La Motta, who died in the crash, was the boxing champion's second son to die. Another son died seven months ago of cancer.

Defendants in the suit include Swissair and Delta Airlines, McDonnell Douglas, which manufactured the MD11 plane, and Boeing Co, which now owns McDonnell Douglas.
