A Co Carlow garage-owner has been given a four-year suspended sentence by Dublin Circuit Criminal Court for handling more than £86,000 worth of stolen clothes.

Gerry Moorehead (54) stored the Primark-label jeans, baby clothes and jackets in an aircraft hangar beside his home in Hacketstown, Co Carlow. He was convicted of handling stolen goods after a three-day trial last month.
