A convicted rapist who tried to rob a woman 14 hours after his release from prison has been sentenced to eight years with two suspended.
Trevor Byrne (33) of O’Devaney Gardens pleaded guilty at Dublin Circuit Criminal Court to attempting to rob Noemie Krey (24) at Leo Street, Dublin, on September 15th, 2009. He pleaded guilty to two counts of burglary on the same date.
