SIPTU gave a High Court undertaking yesterday not to place pickets at the Killarney Towers Hotel in Co Kerry today

SIPTU gave a High Court undertaking yesterday not to place pickets at the Killarney Towers Hotel in Co Kerry today. The undertaking was given by Mr Richard N. Kean, for the union, to the President of the High Court, Mr Justice Costello.

Mr Kean said the union was anxious to have an early date for the hearing of an application made by the owners of Killarney Towers Hotel for an injunction to stop the union from picketing the hotel in Killarney Square. The union was anxious to embark on a lawful picket.

Leave had been given on Wednesday by Mr Justice Costello to Cherry Hotels Ltd and Emardress Ltd, owners of Killarney Towers Hotel, to seek the injunction yesterday.

Mr Justice Costello adjourned the full hearing of the application until Monday week.
