Lima - A military court in Peru yesterday sentenced the leader of the Shining Path rebel group, Oscar Ramirez Durand, to life imprisonment. Known as "Comrade Feliciano", Durand was the last rebel leader to be captured. He rejected former leader Abimael Guzman's plea for the rebels to lay down their arms, and created a splinter group called the Red Path.
