Shelbourne will today register an official protest with the Football Association of Ireland (FAI) over an incident involving the double-booking of a Sligo Rovers player.

Last night Shels chief executive Ollie Byrne confirmed the club would be officially complaining over the incident, which witnessed Sligo's Gareth Gorman receiving two yellow cards in the match but not being sent off.

Bryne said the club would take the issue up with FIFA if necessary.
