Fine Gael has selected the sitting TD, Mr Alan Shatter, and Ms Olivia Mitchell, Dun Laoghaire Rathdown county councillor, to contest the next general election in the Dublin South constituency. Delegates voted at a meeting chaired by the Minister for Enterprise and Employment, Mr Bruton, in Goatstown last night.
The selection of Mr Shatter, ends speculation that he would not stand at the next general election.
