Sinn Féin will hold a vigil in Dublin tomorrow evening in support of the parents and children of the Holy Cross primary school in Ardoyne.

The vigil at the GPO in Dublin City Centre from 5p.m. to 7p.m. was organised following a public meeting in Liberty Hall last night which was addressed by Local representatives of Ardoyne and a parent of one of the children who attends Holy Cross.

Sinn Féin Councillor Mr Sean Crowe, who chaired the meeting, urged people to attend the vigil.

He said: "This is not about politics, it is not about ‘turf wars’ or ‘tribal conflict’. It is about human rights.

Catholic parents and children left Holy Cross Primary school in north Belfast this evening and walked down the Ardoyne Road - shielded by RUC and the British army - without major incident.
