A Sinn Fein member of the Northern Ireland Assembly was charged at Belfast Magistrates Court yesterday in connection with disturbances during an Apprentice Boys parade on the Ormeau Road earlier this month. Ms Sue Ramsey (28), who represents West Belfast, was charged with hindering the free passage of the parade by sitting on the road.

Mr Patrick Larkin (32), from Estoril Park, Ardoyne, was charged with obstruction, assault and disorderly behaviour on the same occasion. Both were remanded on bail to appear in October along with 14 others facing similar charges.
