Banda Aceh - Troops in Indonesia's restive province of Aceh yesterday shot dead seven rebels in two incidents, the military said.
In one incident, soldiers and police attacked a house in the village of Puuk in North Aceh, killing five. Residents however said the security forces had fired at random and those killed were civilians.
