Double escapeeA search was under way in Limerick yesterday for a suspected car thief who escaped from custody for the second time in a year.
The 25-year-old fled as he was being brought by gardaí to Limerick Prison on Thursday night after appearing in court in Co Kerry. He appeared before Tralee District Court on Thursday charged with stealing a car. Last August he had also escaped while having medical treatment.
