`Scotsman' goes for Ruddock

Edinburgh - The Scotsman newspaper has appointed Mr Alan Ruddock as its new editor. Irish-born Mr Ruddock (37), who graduated from Trinity College, Dublin in 1983, began his career in journalism on Business Day in South Africa and has worked for the Sunday Times, the Sunday Ex- press and the Today newspaper.
