Jacques Santini was today handed the task of reviving French fortunes following the sacking of Roger Lemerre.
The French Football Federation announced the decision to appoint the former Lyon coach in a statement on their website.
His first test will be a friendly international in Tunisia on August 21st before he embarks on qualification for Euro 2004.
