American John Ruiz retained his World Boxing Association heavyweight title today with a 12-round draw against four-time champion Evander Holyfield.
Of the three ringside judges, one scored it 116-112 for Holyfield, another made it 115-113 for Ruiz and the third scored it 114-114.
It was the third confrontation between the two, Holyfield winning a close and contested decision in their first fight and Ruiz winning the rematch last March.
