The RUC has described as "scurrilous" a Sinn Fein claim that police officers were responsible for damaging headstones at the republican plot in Milltown Cemetery, Belfast.
Republicans in west Belfast alleged that the vandalism was linked to the police reforms announced on Wednesday. Eighteen graves were damaged and several headstones were smashed in the attack.
