Robert-spotting

We're all getting remarkably blase about "slebs" in Ireland

We're all getting remarkably blase about "slebs" in Ireland. What with films being made here, every second rock star buying a second home here, and everybody else visiting their famous friends, it's hardly a day goes by when there isn't somebody spotted in the library in Lillies Bordello or slipping into a limousine outside the Clarence Hotel. However, you would need to be a very industrious star-spotter to keep tracks on Robert Redford who cruised into town recently to work on his biography with Irish writer Michael Feeny Callan. Mums and dads picking up their kids in the Burrow School in Sutton on Monday were rather startled to see the world's most famous Robert walk the world's most famous walk across the school yard. He was there to pick up Michael's kids who attend the Burrow school. Another Robert sighting in the area was in a pub not particularly known for its celebrity guests, the Abbey Tavern in Howth. Which just goes to show you that the city centre is oh-so-definitely just not done any more.
