Gaspart was speaking on Spanish radio after after claims made by Josep Guardiola's agent, Juan Maria Orobitg on Canal 33's Gol a Gol television programme, regarding the Brazilian.
Orobitg was defending Guardiola's decision to leave the Nou Camp at the end of the season.
He said: "Do you think that Rivaldo is going to continue at Barcelona? "I'm saying that because next Thursday, there will be a meeting with a very important English club which is going to propose the signing of Rivaldo to representatives of Barcelona."
Rivaldo, who signed a new deal with Barcelona last summer, has a £60million buy-out clause in his contract. - PA
