Bordeaux - A French court yesterday ruled that US counter-culture guru, Ira Einhorn, should be returned home to face a retrial for the 1979 murder of his girfriend.
Einhorn, now 58, was convicted in absentia in a Philadelphia court and sentenced to life imprisonment in 1993. Under French law, anyone convicted in absentia is entitled to a retrial.
