In a statement, its ruling body, the Grand Lodge of Ireland, said "The commission does not seem to have paid any attention to the views of the most important group the people of Northern Ireland. Polls show that 83 per cent of people believe that at least some decommissioning of terrorist arms is essential. The view of the Grand Lodge remains that all terrorist arms should be decommissioned."
