The trial of a Lithuanian national for alleged rape in Cork city last year has been postponed until tomorrow morning at the Central Criminal Court because no judge was available.

A jury of four men and eight women was sworn in earlier this week for the trial which is to be presided over by Mr Justice Henry Abbott when another rape trial he is hearing concludes.

The 34-year-old accused has pleaded not guilty to raping a woman at a Cork suburban house on January 16, 2005.
