Cricket:Ireland's first home game since the World Cup looked set to be undermined by the weather after morning rain in Belfast forced umpires to delay the start of play.
The first of two one-day internationals against Pakistan at Stormont was due to commence at 10.45am, however, with light drizzle continuing to fall a start time was still to be decided.
Umpires Ian Gould and Mark Hawthorne were due to make an inspection at the scheduled start, but with the forecast for rain to continue through the morning a shortened match looked likely.
Ireland will be hoping the game goes ahead as they aim to claim a victory that would add weight to their bid for a route into the next World Cup in 2015.
The International Cricket Council are due to revise their April decision to exclude the associate nations at a chief executives' committee meeting in Hong Kong next month.
This weekend's matches are therefore Ireland's only opportunity to push their case forward on the field before that meeting.
