Raiders stole cigarettes worth an estimated £2 million and kidnapped an employee of Dublin Port after breaking into a warehouse in the docks last night. He was released unharmed several hours later.

Garda∅ said the men forced their way into the warehouse at Alexander Road at around 6.30 p.m. and overpowered two workers. They locked one into a toilet and forced the other into the back of a white transit van. They loaded the cigarettes on to the vehicle and drove off. They released their captive around two hours later in the Phoenix Park.
