Police in Northern Ireland have begun searching an isolated bog today for the body of a man they believe was murdered almost five years ago.

PSNI officers and dogs are searching Creggan Bog between Omagh and Cookstown, Co Tyrone, for for the body of Darren McReynolds (36).

He disappeared from his home in Cookstown in November 2001.

The PSNI said that because of the length of time since he was last seen and the lack of any "routine life activity", they were now treating his death as murder.
