PSNI arrest man after fatal Belfast collision

A man was being questioned today after a woman was killed when a car crashed into a skip in south Belfast.

A man was being questioned today after a woman was killed when a car crashed into a skip in south Belfast.

The victim, aged 18, was a back-seat passenger in a blue Rover 200 which collided with the bin on Windsor Park.

A 22-year-old man who was in the front seat of the car was taken to hospital following the accident at around 6.30am today. His injuries are not believed to be life threatening.

Police confirmed that another man aged 20 was arrested following the crash.

They also closed a section of the road close to where the collision happened at the junction with Eileen Gardens.

Investigating detectives have urged witnesses to contact police at Lisburn Road station.
