A post mortem examination is being carried out on the body of a man which was discovered in Dublin earlier today.

Gardaí are treating the death of the middle-aged man as suspicious.

The body was found at around 1 p.m. near Benburb Street in Dublin's inner city.

Deputy State Pathologist Maire Cassidy carried out a preliminary examination at the scene, which has been sealed off by members of the Garda Technical Bureau.
