Former Italian premier Silvio Berlusconi will not face a verdict in a trial where he is charged with paying for sex with a juvenile prostitute until after elections, according to a decision by judges that could help his political comeback. A new timetable of hearings set by judges shows the last session will be held on March 11th, after the February elections.
Berlusconi will welcome the decision. He had feared a verdict in the middle of his campaign for a fifth term in office. Judges last week rejected his request to have the trial suspended until after the elections.
