Dublin City Council has said the black bin waste collections due to have been made last Tuesday will now take place tomorrow.

Black bin collections will take place as normal over the new year.

Householders whose green bins are full may place additional dry recyclable materials beside their bin on collection day, provided it is left in a safe and secure manner. This service will be available up to the end of January.

Bring centres in the city will be open today from 9am until 1pm and tomorrow from 10am to 4pm. They will be closed on December 31st and January 1st, reopening on January 2nd, from 9am to 4pm.

Waste Electric and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) centres will be closed on New Year's Eve and on New year's Day.

Christmas trees will be accepted free of charge at the following centres from December 29th to January 13th:
