WARSAW - Poland's parliament may ratify a long-delayed treaty with the Vatican in time for a visit by Pope John Paul next month, after the cabinet approved a compromise decal yesterday
The Prime Minister, Mr Wlodzimierz Cimoszewicz, signed a declaration clearing up issues which had held up ratification. Parliament's refusal to ratify the treaty, signed by a previous pro-Catholic centreright government in 1993, has long been contentious.
