Moscow - Police are investigating whether Russia's Central Bank illegally channelled $1 billion into its own overseas accounts, the interior minister said yesterday.
The announcement follows a months-long inquiry into the bank's activities started by the Prosecutor-General, Mr Yury Skuratov, following Russia's financial collapse in August.
