A bag containing component parts used for the making of pipe bombs has been discovered in a car park of a public house on the Greenhills Road in Tallaght this evening.
Shortly before 5pm, the Gardaí received a call to its control centre alerting it to the fact that there was a suspicous package left in the pub's car park.
On arrival at the scene Tallaght Gardaí located the bag and immediately sealed off the area.
The Army's Explosive Ordnance Disposal team arrived at the scene shortly before 7pm.
The Tallaght Detective Unit is investigating the incident.
