A full-scale replica of the plane used by Alcock and Brown for their non-stop Atlantic crossing 80 years ago is to be put on display in Connemara this weekend.

The Vickers Vimy replica, modelled on the first World War bomber used by Alcock and Brown, will be open to the public for viewing at Aer Arann's Aerphort Connemara in Indreabhan today and tomorrow.
