THE FORMER British cabinet minister, Jonathan Aitken, last night announced his separation from his wife, Lolicia, on the same day his High Court libel action was dramatically adjourned.
Mr Aitken (54) was not in court yesterday to hear the judge, Mr Justice Popplewell, say it was important that his counsel should have fair opportunity to investigate documents produced by the defence. Mr Aitken has sued the Giiardian and Granada over allegations that he was in the Saudis' pocket.
